When I was a kid, my sister won both the school and regional speech competitions with a speech I wrote. This may be the biggest backhanded compliment I've ever been given.

  • I am quite happy writing about anything. In the past I've written copy about the wonders of Eta mayonnaise, Purina One dog food, Westpac home loans and TVNZ's Celebrity Treasure Island.

  • I previously worked at TVNZ as:
    a) The weather girl
    b) The editor of the TV & TVNZ OnDemand websites
    c) One of the above

  • I love writing books. In 2010 I won the Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon Award which led to the publication of my book, Hollie Chips, by Scholastic. A year later, I won the NZ Post First Book Award and the Children's Choice Award in the Junior Fiction category for Hollie Chips. (Bragging over.)

    I'm now working from home in Auckland while looking after my three young daughters, Alex, Indy and Nina. Our favourite song is Kokomo by The Beach Boys. We could do with some dancing lessons.
